Well......no......I won't be able to go out of town this month! Fuck. We just took on a case with dual jurisdiction between Germany and here. Not to familiar with international custody jurisdiction.....the divorce action actually was started in Germany.....but the child lives here now with mother, and father just filed a motion in Fresno County Superior Court requesting a modification in custody/visitation. Dude makes over 10K per month.....I'm trying to get our client a butt load of child support.....but I have to find out which Court has the proper jurisdiction to make such an award. I'm hoping it's us.....can you say never ending legal research for the next two weeks straight? Any German lawyers or paralegals out there familiar with divorce laws in Germany??? Fuck this is going to suck. Good news is that I'm booking my week vacation in Cancun for next January. NOTHING is going to stop that trip. Hope you're all having a great day, eh.
