I think cute is a more genuine quality, where as sexy is a more fleeting or short lived attribute. But i do love more of a cute girl that also has sex appeal.

I feel that cute is primarily related to appearance where sexy is an attitude (maybe more a vibe or an aura). I've known plenty of women who were one, the other, or both.
