I just saw an incredible film.

The Children of Beslan

Its a life changing, paradigm rearranging glimpse into the horrors of the seige by terrorists in Beslan, Russia last year. (Do you guys remember that? 171 children and 200 adults were killed in an elemantary school in Russia. It lasted 3 days and was perpetrated by Chechnyan terrorists to avenge deaths caused by the Russian military)

The story is told by the children who were present during the seige through interviews and images. Some of these kids, as young as 5 years old speak so eloquently and profoundly that its shocking. I cried so many times.

I can't help but reflect on our current political situation. My opinions on the subject are inconsiquential, however I will mention that I volunteered for the Democratic party prior to our last presidential election. (a polite way to say FUCK BUSH... FUCK THIS WHOLE MESS) I really don't want to see good people dead. I'm really sad to know that some really good people from this site are slated to dive headlong into the chaos here soon. Know that despite my political leanings I'm thinking of you, I support you, I believe in you, and I'll be anxious for your safe return.

Good luck boys. kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss

For everyone else, The Children of Beslan. Watch it, Tivo it, do it. Its on HBO this month. Bring Kleenex.

Hi sweets. Thanks for the hair advice. Haha I am so silly, but it really did encourage me. I am going to have my friend in Seattle do it for me in probably about a month or less. Yay. kiss
