I've got an old friend in town. We met up at "Rain" last night. Within 5 minutes of hugging hello this is what was exchanged:
"By the way, Jessica is dead. Ovarian cancer."

"Vivian's boyfriend was a witness to a gang murder and was subpoenaed to testify, she was in a car with him, they were followed, both shot in the head... dead."

"Lindsey's undergoing a sex change"

Im 22. I feel like we should be talking about who's engaged or pregnant.

Jessica and I were BEST friends in Middle School... She survived a heroin and cocaine addiction, but cancer? I wasn't expecting that... I loved this girl, she was important to me.

Vivian and I had marketing and cooking class together in HS, same friends, same circles, same parties, camping trips etc.... murdered.

Lindsey... Well, good for Lindsey. A bit of a surprise... yes, but if she/hes happy... so am I.
