Recent vinyl acquisitions:
Television "Adventure" - every bit as good as "Marquee Moon" even though it doesn't receive slobbering praise from hipster critics everywhere.
Patty Waters "Sings" - I recently discovered this late 60's avant garde jazz vocal gem (ie: Nina Simone, Yoko Ono on the last song only). I've been listening to the CD and I finally located a vinyl copy after about a month of searching.

Things I like about the new place Mrs. indigoboy and I have in Evanston:
The rent is half what we were paying in downtown Chicago.
People say hello when you pass them on the street.
We are one block from Lake Michigan - which may as well be the ocean since you can't see land beyond the horizon. Who needs Malibu?
I can actually sleep through the night without being disturbed by sirens, trunks of funk or Cubs fans.
