i got my alienbees ringflash, my studio setup and a new lens for the camera. it is like christmas. the ringflash is awesome, the only downside is that i cant use itwhy? well, i forgot that my camera doesnt have a pc socket, so i need to get the nikon pc hotshoe adapter and then im good to go. im not even going to open the rest of the studio setup until i get that thingbut, the lens is AWESOME! its a nikon nikkor 50mm f/1.8D. what does this mean? well, i can take some really really good portraits with it and it does awesome short depth of field shots. this means that it focuses really well on one are really close and everything else is a little more blurry. good good effect, especially in portraits. it doesnt zoom in though, so its pretty fixed in that respect which makes it not so good for taking pictures of myself. other than that, its SWEET and i cant believe that i scored it for only $110. it may just stay on my camera FOREVER. but, im retarded at photography anyways..

ugh. i am ti-ord. this week is going well so far, but i can tell that its going to be a long time til the weekendblah.
