incorrigible

i had one of the loveliest interactions today. i met diana krall at work, and i didn't recognize her but she sounded oddly familiar. we talked about candles and fragrance and skincare, which is pretty normal, since that's what i sell, but then she started talking about eczema (EXTREME dry skin) and i have that TOO! we must have talked for 15 minutes. then i get her credit card and i try to play it really cool. (impossible for nerd-ass me) i totally break my don't-ask-don't-tell celebrity policy and tell her i love her work (how gay) and she's shocked i know who she is! what a down to earth woman! i love grammy winning jazz vocalists who don't think they're famous!!! we continued talking, comparing wedding planning stories, etc. then she left. i'll never see her again (she lives in Vancouver), and i totally wanna hang out. i, too, am a victim of celebrity worship, just when i thought i was too cool for school. good story though, and hope for better skin for both of us!
