so, i'm in portland. i've been here for four days, and i'll be here for another 3. my parents, my sister, & her kids were also here until yesterday... there is nothing like a 2 year old and a 4 month old baby to put a damper on your travels. i felt bad for my parents.
anyway, i'm having fun. being here just makes me want to move, though. not necessarily here to portland (although my brother wants me to and i have thought about it), just away from where i live in general. things are so much more readily available here.... when i think about how much of a pain it is to do things and go places back home, versus how easy it is here, it just makes me feel stupid for being there. that is really something i want to focus on fixing from now on.
-i had french toast this morning and it was delicious.
-my brother is at a def leppard concert right now.
-i saw a 12 ft sturgeon a few days ago and it was awesome.
-i went to the windsurfing capitol of the world the same day. it was windy.
-yesterday we had a vegan barbecue and i made shishkabobs and bbq seitan steaks, the idea of which were stolen from al.
-there is a crazy lizard store here that has snakes and geckoes and scorpions and all kinds of wacky characters. the place is great.
done for now. i miss stina. and steph and the dog.

Maybe you should move to Portsmouth... ha.
but I just did and everything is pretty readily available. Life without having to drive everywhere, I think I'm going to dig it. I can understand why you would like it.
