Last Friday I bought a new car.
2004 Toyota Matrix. It looks just like this one. It's fucking rad. I love it so much.
And because I had to fork over some big bucks I had saved toward the down payment on the new car, I had to push back my move-in to my new place until October 1st. I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it. Everything is falling perfectly into place, and I couldn't be happier. Work is going really well. I'm making great money, and there's been absolutely no nasty rumors or meddling from bar people as I'd originally expected there would be once Paul and I went public with our split. Everyone has actually been really cool and respectful of our privacy. It's a nice change of pace. Also, Paul's attitude post-break up has really turned around, and we're getting along better than ever. He's even starting to be really helpful and supportive for me through this whole process. AND, I've also met a really amazing new guy who is so incredibly fantastic on so many levels. I realize I still have much to accomplish for me before I should even start contemplating being part of another "we," but right now, the new fella is everything I could possibly have hoped for, and I'm so eager to see what comes of it later on down the road.
It's a pretty fucking awesome time to be me right now.
