I finally told a cop I had to get through the baracade to get to my mom's because she called me and said my grandmother was having chest pains and we may need to get through to take her to the hospital. For that he let me through after taking 10 minutes to check with everyone on the planet. Why is it so far in my life, the only purpose the police have served is to inconvenience and annoy me? Not once have I actually been able to form the phrase, "Gee, I'm sure glad that cop was there."
