Like the prodigal son I have returned.
I have just spent 19 days on the Northern Producer which is on the Don Field of the North Sea, incredibly close to the Norwegian sector (I know this because several members of Personnel were spotted wandering around with their mobile phones on connected to Norwegian Phone Masts.) Normally this would be a bad thing but the Northern Producer is currently a Hydrocarbon-free zone as no oil has been produced yet. Which is why we were up there.
If I never see another Offshore Radiographer or ANYONE from Qserv again it won't be too soon!
Being switched from Dayshift, onto Nightshift, onto Dayshift, back onto Nightshift and finally back onto Dayshift within the space of 2 weeks really REALLY sucks and fucks your internal bodyclock up - haven't had a decent nights sleep in weeks. Toothache FTL as well.
However we did get sent onshore and spent 5 days in Lerwick which was good fun as I befriended a lovely lady called Sian and spent a night in the town with her and some friends on the Saturday night!
