Keeping the bro occupied (and taking pics at the theatre on the sly)

So Friday afternoon, the day before my brothers birthday and I ask my mum at about 10 to 6pm "What are we doing for lunch tomorrow?" My mum thinking I'm an idiot points to the comment above my post. I eventually see it's dated for Wednesday and I had missed it. Not a biggy since it has info for Saturday except it also has info on me to distract my brother for Friday evening for some mystery reason that only my mother knows. If I hadn't asked at that point we would of ended up doing who knows what so I book us 2 tickets to see a show called Timber which is by what I have dubbed the French Canadian Circus.

So I'll apologise here for the terrible quality of the photos but you should keep in mind these were taken on the sly although it wasn't until mid way through the performance that an usher waggled her finger at me in a cease and desist fashion - which I ignored at my discretion there after although I missed some cool bits. Here is the part involving some good old log rolling. Quite good balance especially when you consider all the leaping onto other logs and rolling them. If I remember there was a funny part where they were smashing lettuce on the table you can see at the back and the old man was cutting potatoes from atop the table whilst they were being thrown at him and two guys were catching each of the halves in pots.

Not a very clear shot so you can't exactly tell that they were juggling axes. 3 a piece to be exact and in rather intricate patterns and at one point one guy was on another guys shoulders tossing them to a guy on the ground; or perhaps two guys would be juggling them and another would just grab them out of the air or just trade places.

So in all honesty I think the old guy is mostly for comedic purposes like this part here which involved a bungee cord and a bit of flinging about.

Ok so this part was pretty intense. So the guy in yellow pants is swinging a band saw whilst the other two jump over it; or in some cases through it since it had been bent so they could dive/leap through. Oh and The guy in yellow had 2 at one point just to make things more interesting.

So I had missed a few bits before this piece of acrobatics which admittedly I have seen in other burlesque shows granted this was only done with some rope essentially. So missed some acrobatics off what I think could be called a tree branch or at least that's what it looked like and a bit of acrobatics with a wooden cart wheel.

The end piece was this see saw and admittedly was not as exciting as earlier pieces although still good. Either way it was an enjoyable night and it didn't stop there.

So me and my brother then grab dinner. just simple hot dogs really although with sausages rather then hot dogs. He's now staying at my place apparently staying up all night as is his custom.

To keep ourselves entertained until the ungodly hour of 3am (keeping in mind lunch is at 1pm and we need to be at my parents before hand and I still have a gift to wrap) we played some board games. My brother won a round of Labyrinth before I won a second round. Then we played some Card Wars which I won both although it does seem some of the starter decks are greatly over powered compared to others and then what took us to 3am was an extremely long game of Munchkin which involved mostly trying to fight our way out of the dungeon but each of us was too determind to win by making the boss monster way over powered. But thanks to a Squid with a Gentlemanly nature I gained the victory in terms of the actual game. Technically the pinata exploded in a room ladden with treasure and gold crushing me in all its wealth.

Now to find some sleep if that's still even a thing.
