i think i'm gonna go out on a limb here and speak for ALL of SG: christmas sucked. NYE ROCKED!!!!!!
x-mas was a very dreary weekend, tho i did spend some quality time with my stepbrother and his buddy, who co-runs a very hip bar in hollywood. gossip tidbit: apparently, this bar ownerk's dj is also courtney love's make-up artist, and according to her, she's instructed to make her look haggard and bleary-eyed for all her court dates, so that people feel sorry for her. then, i saw "napoleon dynamite" at the mutaytor smashpad. little bit of a nasty fallout from that, i'm afraid, but that's best left discussed with the people involved.
so anyhoo, on to NYE. last year was very lonely and depressing. there really wasn't much going on here in LA, aside from a psy-trance party that left something to be desired. this year, as ALL you LA peeps know, anon salon brought the sea o'dreams down to LA at the Park Plaza Hotel. back in 1993, i went to an s&m/fetish ball at this place, and let me tell you, there's no better place to throw down with your freak family than here.
at first, i was gonna go to SOD up to SF, and kick it with my peeps up there. but as time drew on and the price tag to do that grew bigger and bigger, i figured i could have just as good a time down here with people i knew - and the line-up was 10 times better.
and yesirreebob, it was a BLAST!!!
that's right, i hung with trilo, the word pimpstress, this fetching zombie that is welcome to eat my brain ANY time, shella jaybird, extramore, kathleen wirt of debbie petting zoo, porter tinsley, all the mutaytor cats, alexiis*, anna maltese and, for all you "simpsons" fans, dave silverman. i also had my sexuality tested, and it was found to be in perfect working order! lorin bassnectar's dj set was okay, tho i've heard him play better. he did score points with me by ending it with "let go" by frou frou, which you may remember as the beautiful coda to "garden state." and pearl was kind enough to drive me home.
if you're reading this, pearl, know this: as long as you know where you're going and feel like you're on your way, it won't matter what other people are doing. they're just trying to figure it out, too, you know?
i even did the afterparty over at patricio's that trilo posted about. where i saw good ol' lola fishpaw again. lola, for those of you who don't know, is an exotic dancer over at jumbo's clownroom who is hands down one of my favorite people to party with. i delivered what ended up to be one of my best pitches ever to her regarding this project i've always wanted to do, and while i don't wanna jinx it, i'm very excited about the prospects. we'll see!
so anyway, i have high hopes for 2005. 2004 began sucky and we ended up with dubya again. so maybe if this is any indication, we'll see dubya hung by his testicles on k avenue by year's end! one can only hope...

Nah, I've never aspired to be an exotic dancer, nor have I modeled nude. I've done some stuff for other sites and am in a couple of books, which is really funny to me.
This burlesque thing might be part of my campy phase or something.
