NAME OF THE GAME
WHO AM I?
rules and irregulations:
alright, now as i mentioned in the last post, i've been planning for a new game of sorts, as i've getting a bit bored with the same ol' song and dance of socialization on this site. so it's time to shake things up a bit, and see what happens.
so for the next month - two or three weeks, i figure, i'll be playing "who am i?" it's pretty simple, really.
i'm going to be a fakester, with a brand new picture, profile, pics, groups, the whole bit, and i'll be changing my name to "who_am_i?" for the time being. it'll be a character from our shared social heritage (unfortunately, as you'll see), and you gotta guess who he/she is.
i'll be leaving hints and suchlike all over this site, and you'll be able to follow it by checking out the "comments" section. again, if you guess, try to hit me up privately, and let me know.
during this time, i plan to do this in an andy kaufman stylee, so i'll only answer you in character on this site. but you'll get me, not the character, if you e-mail me privately, and i'll answer any questions you may have.
i'm also going to be temporarily wiping my friends list. but rest assured, it's nothing personal. i'll add you all back once it's over.
there's a point to all of this, i guarantee you. just give me a week or two to research this, and then it's ON!

you know, the curse of doing things differently and stepping outside your comfort zone to communicate and share is being misunderstood. that happens a lot to me here on this site.
some of that's my fault, i guess. i have a feeling, for instance, that who am i? is going to confuse a LOT of people on this site. but still, i cannot forget that punk culture was once outcast culture, for people who had to create their own alternative to the world around them, because they weren't allowed a place or voice in it.
some of you younger sorts may not know of this, because nowadays, it's all laid out for you. here's this t-shirt, here's this band. there's the tattoo parlor. purchase these things. hang with these people, affect these attitudes.
now you're an individual. now you're you.
well, there was a time when people were making it up as they went - that's what made it exciting. and we still, always, have the ability to make something new and shake things up. i'd like to see if i can do here, and if, as they say in hip hop, heads are ready.
