Thank you all for your comments. I'm feeling much better, am still generally confused, and still hate leaving a whiny post on the top of my blog. Time to replace it.

Today I'm blowing off an office picnic. I don't want to disrespect my coworkers, but I spend all week with them. If there's a specific activity involved (say, the rafting trip, or the charity heartwalk thing), I'll participate. But if the option is to just go hang out with them on a Sunday afternoon.... no.

So instead, I'm going to go eat cake to celebrate my friend's two-year-old's birthday. Well, maybe I am. The last two times I was offered this, the kids had stuck their hands in the cake, or they'd forgotten that they had no cake mix. So I don't really expect to have cake this time either. I asked them what he needed, and they said clothes, so I went and bought a cute little outfit from Target, because I'm a big spender, yeah. Then I swung by Borders and bought a DVD of Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter, because, well, how could I not buy that once I'd found it? I'm sure it's bad, but it feels like something I should have. Also, It features El Santo! How badass is that?!?

Also, I had a 30% off coupon at Borders.
