Do you ever accidentally learn something about yourself?
Today at work was grueling. My group's supervisor is gone for the next two weeks, leaving two of us handling all our calls. There were weird last-minute requests that were frustrating, a total backlog of work that needed doing RIGHT NOW, and the phone wouldn't stop ringing. And yet, on the walk home, I realized: I felt happier about my work today than I have ANY workday in the past three months. I don't know if I need a little work stress to get going, or if I'm just pleased that I got to make the decisions and get to deal with the consequences.
But it's interesting. I'm both apprehensive and looking forward to the next two weeks. I guess I'll see what happens.

I love when you work so hard at something that at the end of the day you just feel better. I know I'm constantly figuring myself out and stress is definitely a catalyst for that
