Has everyone heard the story of Vasya?

Vasya was a military dog, serving alongside a Ukrainian Marine Recon unit. During an assault on a Russian position, Vasya got caught up in some barbed wire. When the assault was repelled, Vasya was unfortunately left behind. Much like the people of the country he is serving, Vasya's tenacity and will to survive showed through. Before a rescue mission could be mounted, Vasya chewed off his own trapped paw, and returned to his unit. While it's sad that this good boy is now one paw light, it's just more proof that dogs (and really all animals) are just too good for us, and we don't deserve them. Vasya has been retired from the military, and was even given a new paw.
