Sometimes I think
I can convince myself
of anything but then
it's so hard, afterwards,
to change my mind.

In fact, I might be far too awesome for my own good. Too much for any mere mortal, in any case. Ooof.

Having internet at home again is effin' fantastic.

Classes started yesterday, and I'm already exhausted. Awesome.
menotyou:
Be careful to keep that awesome in check. I hear an overabundance of awesome is the leading cause of spontaneous combustion.

You think academic smalltalk is hard work? Try doing it in German.
Holy shit, I rule.
velocity:
The only thing more difficult is filling out a college application in German. Man, they take their paperwork seriously.

It's lonely at the top. And by the top, I mean the 9th floor.

This hotel room is way too swanky. I oughta head down to the bar, see if I can find some bitches and blow to make it feel more homey. My mom gave me three mini-bottles of scotch for that express purpose - isn't that sweet?

pinkisux:
awww how adorable.
dunx:
All my mom gave me for that purpose was my natural charm. Heh. Thanks, mom.

Someday, dear, we will rock out together again, finding all the bitches and blow. And then breakfast.

1. Lather
2. Rinse
3. Repeat

Oh no, into the void again...

Given the obscene glut of photos this site has begun churning out, you may have stopped paying attention and missed this set. Well, don't, because it's rad.

I thought the book was pretty brilliant. It's about some 18th century magicians who want to bring magic back into common use, sounds a bit dumb, but the way it is written is incredible!! It takes itself so seriously it has all these weird footnotes about fictious creatures and wizards.. Definitely worth a read!

Hey, we consistently need to pee at the same time! We must be meant for each other!
surreal
Heh heh. Meh.

I don't even know how to respond to that.
menotyou:
I believe sharing pee schedules is proof of a collective unconscious.

I went to a rather charming restaurant last night that sported one of those neato vending machines with the prizes in plastic bubbles, but here, the inside the plastic bubbles wasn't crappy stuff, it was buttons. Pins. Whatever, the round things you attach to stuff. Even better, they were those round thingies, but without annoying slogans on 'em, just interesting pictures. I exercised admirable restraint...

yeah, some people just dont like england. im thinking of it for that purpose as a (relative) equivalent of the us, but with a different health-care model. also, arrested development is fucking amazing, but you have to see the episodes in some sort of correct order to get a lot of it.

So my downstairs neighbors have like, a whole bunch of kids. A flock of adorable little girls. And yesterday, one of them knocked on my door because she wanted me to help her with her math homework. It was awesome. I taught her to count by 2's, 5's, and 10's. And she totally got it, like, immediately. I got so excited that I tried to...

Man...I love other peoples kids. You have access to all the good stuff and can dump them on someone else when the bad crap rears its ugly head.
dunx:
Waxing?! arg. I feel betrayed. wink

But it's a deal. And I'm sure the Polish will be enough by itself. God I love that...

Yeah yeah yeah. Like I said, everyone should be allowed to benefit from my opinion, especially my friends. So shut up.

You know, I used to think everyone out there would benefit from living alone for awhile. Maybe I still do, but in any case, I've come to understand that the reason a lot of people don't want to live alone is because they really...

I used to live alone. I didn't really mind it so much. But yeah, it does get tiring after a while. You just end up missing someone to bitch about and whinge to.
dunx:
Well, I can hold down the fort on depressive, love-sick crap if you need a break from that for a while.

And yeah, perfect timing. That phrase comes to mind a lot these days.

And hey, look! It's Ben's birthday!! hehe.

I can't believe I went a whole year without hearing Barbara Manatee. Or the Cheeseburger Song. Or... nevermind, I'm gonna go watch them all again right now.

Larry? What are you doing?
Just... watching a little tv Bob...
Well, maybe you should read a book.

You know, I *try* to be a good man, and you give me advice like that...

If I knew what was good for me, I'd take it. But I don't.
dunx:
Oh god no. Why in the shit would I do that?
