You know, I used to think everyone out there would benefit from living alone for awhile. Maybe I still do, but in any case, I've come to understand that the reason a lot of people don't want to live alone is because they really enjoy human companionship. Even in passing, just another presence. And a lot of people, if they try living alone, they're just gonna find themselves lonely and miserable in a hurry. I think it's important for people to learn to enjoy solitude, but I'm coming to think that maybe there are other, better ways for them to do that.
I've really enjoyed living by myself this last year. I really needed some time on my own to get myself straight and be my own person. But I'm geting tired of this whole being alone thing. I miss having another person in the house. The problem is, I'm not a roommate kind of person. I really need to be pretty nuts about a person to want them around 24/7.
