Sometimes the world seems messy and people are complicated and the best thing to do then, I think, is camp out with some books and wait for things to be less puzzling.

Wow, I had it all bassackwards. I just did a little calculating and realized that I need to be working about 8 times harder if I want to pass my orals in April. Talk about fucking humbling. By which I mean, terrifying. "Camping out with books" would imply that I could come home at some point, but seriously, that point is probably 6 months away. Right now, I should be doing the equivalent of throwing all of my shit in a car and driving into the dessert. Holy fuck does that sound good right now. The literal part of it, not the metaphorical one. Fuck.

So actually, if people go on being nuts and/or confusing, that'll help me out a lot, because then at least I won't be missing out on much. And why in the fuck should I be bothering with them anyhow?
