The big news: I'm getting knee surgery on March 16th. They're finally gonna fix my right knee for real, hopefully. I'm seriously dreading being incapacitated and dependent for awhile, but I figure at least it'll be a good chance to take a break and watch a lot of movies. Feel free to recommend some.

Of other news, I started a new blog, which you can check out here. It's probably of limited interest - I decided to start actually tracking books I read and movies I watch, and writing out reviews, thoughts connected with them, etc. It's enjoyable, in that it pushes me to actually think a bit about the stuff, which I like doing, and I figure it'll be especially useful when I start studying for my Orals for real. But yeah, it's really just about books and movies, so it's not really that interesting, unless you wanna know what I'm reading/watching and what I thought about it.

Other than that, I came to the realization recently that I might not be perfect after all, and I'm not too pleased, and still trying to figure out what I can do about it. I've been operating on the theory for a long time that I'm basically a perfect specimen of human, ie, even my flaws are perfect, because a person with no flaws wouldn't be perfect, s/he'd be annoying as all hell, whereas I am fabulous and flawed, but even my flaws are lovable. But lately I've been thinking that maybe some of my flaws actually really suck and aren't lovable at all, so I guess I'm gonna have to do something about that. Ugh.
