Well my membership's almost up; I can't reactivate til I get mo money (ah the life of a photo student...)
aside from my membership almost being over and a nasty break up with a sexy Morroccan man, yesterday was a good day.
Beautiful weather, and went park hopping with my favorite gay friend Kevin to shoot away stress with my trusty Minolta Maxxumm 35 mm SLR (film baby; it ain't dead.) After that, Sex in the City movie (go see it) and then a gay bar. Yay! smiles
Best shots'll be from the 1st park, Eden Park in Cincinnati, OH. Just great moments. There's a huge fountain in the middle of "Mirror Lake" and when the wind picked up, you could catch a perfect rainbow. Fantastic.
Then I almost walked right by a mama duck with 9 new babies. Toooo cute!!!!!! I shot a whole 24 exp. roll/ the closer I got the more the mama hissed; but I can't wait to see those the most. Overprotective mother in action, lol
Speaking of motherhood; I went with my girl Missy and her 4 year old daughter Grace (my angel) and her 2 year old son AJ (terrible two's=DEVIL!!!) to a Chinese Butterfly exhibit. I didn't think she'd bring AJ; when I saw his lil noggin' in the car, I pictured him running around and grabbing butterflies nad stomping on them when they landed on the ground.
Well the 1st 15 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised at how good he was. Him and his sister gazed all over in awe; wow! Yook! (toddler for "look") wow! oh mama yook! Toozy (toddler for Suzy) yook over dere!!! (toddler for "there")
then AJ noticed people letting butterflies crawl on their hands and arms. Decided to grab one on a near by flower.
I was quick like a ninja and scooped his ass up.
I explained that'd hurt the pretty butterfly; but it was all down hill from there.
So we took a break from the butterfly garden and went to the part of the conservatory with a waterfall
I gave Grace a penny to throw at the water fall and told her to make a wish; Aj cried "Me too me too!!"
I was already handing him the penny when Missy said "Don't eat it AJ" and it was like in slow motion "NOOOOOOOOOOO" as he pops it in his mouth; haha! We got it out in time.
Oh boy.
It was time to go.
Grace was bummed, but I promised her we'd go back; just the two of us
