Posting Not a serious set was partly an experiment.

I made this set because the demands to how a girl should look to be a model piss me off. It is not even about body standarts - I have very typical slender body but I can't get popular because I am not "cute" enough. I personally don't like the label "cute" at all, to me it seems depreciating to women - cause only girls are asked to be cute, men are asked to be brutal. And it is unfair. I might want to be brutal as well. And men might want to be cute! Let them, and don't demand it from me!

So I just laught about all the cliches and expectations of people concerning how I must look like. The name of the set also refers to it - I AM NOT LIKE THIS INSIDE! This set represents how people want to see me, not how I am. In descritption of this set I explicitly asked NOT to label me as "cute" cause I don't like it.

What did I get? Of course, there were some comments saying that I am cute. But what shocked me - most of them were from other models, not from members. Members probably red the description and understood me.

And I see a problem here, on one hand. It shows that here are many girls who do not read descriptions and get the theme of the sets (and in this case it was satirical - something like what @manko used to do here years ago), but leave absolutely random, unrelated comments just to raise THEIR own visibility on this site. Not because they really like me or my set. It's insincere. Actually, it is not recommended by SG guidelines to do so.

Personally I rarely leave comments on sets here at all. Once in a while. But when I do, I ALWAYS read descriptions of sets BEFORE. Some sets I watch not all full-size, I may enlarge just 1 or 2 photos, but the description is VERY important for acknowledgement of what the model wanted to show. I regularly support a couple of models here, not only by comments and likes, but also by blogposts, but I really dig deep into their work.

In case I don't know a model well and the description doesen't say anything but I like something about the girl or photos, I just line up the details I liked, e. g. : "Amazing hair color", "I like the way you dress" or "Photographer did great job with the light". I think comments like this are appropriate. Much more then generalizations, like "cute" (cute is OK but ONLY if the girl WANTS to represent herself as cute and I do not want! I was clear about it).

But there is one more thing to be said. Even tho the described problem does exist (some models are just promoting themselves leaving random comments, yes, some are!) But it is not always the case when I receive a confusing comment. For example one person apologized for being inattentive to description and said she has disorder that makes it hard for her to socialize. I did not acknowledge that and I was rude to her. And in this case I am sorry, cause I didn't forethink that here are some people with disorders. I apologize for that too, that was arrogant and insensitive of me. And still I think this situation is an exclusion and most models who left me "cute!" comments didn't have any problems, they just didn't care about me and wanted to promote themselves.

Promoting yourself is nothing bad, but please always mind feelings of others when you do! And I shall also restrain my ego a bit and always mind, that there are some people with disorders that make interactions hard for them and they don't have bad intentions. I also have several mental disorders, but they do not affect my thinking, only my emotions - they are hard to control. I shall also work on it. That's a useful experience I got!

@fullfeeling I even want to dedicate a cosplay set to Angie (Bully)... But first I'll speak about it with her, how comfortable is she with that...

That'd be so cool.  I wonder how many homage sets there are to sets of the past.  I seem to remember someone did some kind of tribute to @Rambo at some point... there are some sets it'd be cool to see a sequel to, even.
