so does time exist or doesn't it?
i think it does, but we can't precisely measure it and whatnot. i should just procrastinate and write about how time does not exist, thus my tardiness should be overlooked. fuck mctaggart up his stupid little dead ass. augustine too. bleh.

time is an abstract, and only in theory. time is a theory--and a relative one at that. if time is relative then your paper isn't due for weeks, argue that with your teach.

wow...my math teacher let me spend an hour on a problem with an impossible solution this morning while i was taking my test. he didn't do the problem or read the answer before handing out the new test...bleh.

About your friend, if you think your not helping her enough or cant think of any more ways to help then maybe you could talk to someone who professionally helps people in these situations and get some ideas, at the least they may help you deal with feeling helpless.

About death see my current journal entry which was inspired by someone elses entry about her imaginings about suicide.

What is art? what is original? I saw a link from someones journal once that went to a web page that was basically a statment of some derivitive art movement and they had a manifesto talking about how ALL art is derivitave and that was their first principle was "Nothing can be orignal" and that people can't own 'ideas' so it was of course an anti-copy right philospy of art. wink It was thought provoking viewpoint.

People have for all time thought about what makes something good versus evil. Not sure how to help with this one. I suspect that your feelings in your metaphysics class is shared by other students, and same as people who take the class year after year. Just hang in there I am also sure the teacher probably will next teach about some philosphers that tried to answer these same conundrums.

Myself I gave up trying to tell what is evil and what is good but paradoxically I try to live my life as a good person doing the right thing with out being able to define it.
