i just had THE most AMAAAAZING dinner ever... we went to this place called 'karyn's'; they prepare raw vegan food. oh my fucking god. i didn't know raw vegetables could do such things!

i wanted to come back to you about the compression thing: sometimes, make that most of the times, songs are compared to others and sonically speaking they have to go thru as amuch as the others do....then it's not a question of how good a song is, but how loud it is compared to the others...you're spinning records, you know how annoying it is when you have a great song and it just lacks VOLUME. :-)
i'm happy with the album, altho all songs aren't great on it, there is a couple of fillers, but i had questions about the last stage, the compression. Now, it's fixed. got to go to another project ! :-)

I'm jesting a bit, im sure if you heard me talk you would be like "omg you have the most architypeal British voice/mannerism" but 'debutant' level still happens but only among the gentry and even then it's dieing out. That said the older i get the more i play upto it, there is a fantastic magazine called 'The Chap' in which it describes the modern world through the eyes of a member of the British Empire. Hard to say whether it is tounge in cheek, but it provides grooming/dress tips, etiquette at all things (the section on Cricket is most enlightening as to how a gentleman should behave in a sporting event) and above all what it is to be British (needless to say its quite amusing in places).

English street phrases are pretty useless .. apart from Cockney rhymeing slang (apples n pears - stairs .. Sweeney Todd - Flying Squad (our SWAT) etc) there ain't many you don't have (i think). The only one i can think of off hand is 'Safe' = cool/ok a lot of people use that. I will think of some more once this hang over has gone smile.
