it's so hard to realize that somebody who'd told you they loved you - with greater depth than they could comprehend - only a couple days earlier has now moved on and is functional without your presence. furthermore, he seems unfazed by the whole incident.
i couldn't help but call... i mean, he did leave something important to his professional functionality at my apartment.
unfortunately, it wasn't me.
