realizing that i am, in at least a couple ways, more mature than my parents is quite disturbing.
maybe rather than be disappointed by their stunted growth, i should be happy that i'm still evolving....
i guess i appear to be fairly wise when placed in juxtaposition to my peers, but i'm not trying to emulate anyone. i try to spread the 'gospel' as much as i can, but life lessons are not things to be learned by werd-of-mouth; there were many situations where people had warned me to proceed with caution, but i had (and still have) to fall on my ass to learn my lessons for myself.
i'll be the first to tell you that i have lots of growing up to do... although i do recognize many of my flawed mannerisms, changing my ways is a constant struggle.
it's hard to believe that nobody's perfect; i always want to believe that people are unflawed. maybe i'm an asshole for feeling let down when they don't live up to my standards. shit, i can't even live up to my own standards. although, i am werking on it.
i'd like to see perfection personified.. i'd suck the poor fellow dry.
