Malthus had a show last night at Zakk's Coffee House in Murfreesboro, NC. Middle of nowhere hole in the wall. But cool as HELL.
They let you write all over the walls and TONS of awesome people have been there and signed their names. Just to name a few were members of ACDC, Soylent Green, and Mark Rizzo.
We played with Black as Day from Atlanta, GA and Liquid Violence from Buffalo, NY.
Both groups were kick ass people, especially Liquid Violence. Those guys are just awesome and they dug us and we both hoped we'd cross paths again.
The funny thing about it all... NO ONE WAS THERE. Seriously... other than Dick and Nothing's family who came with us and the people who owned the place - no joke... like 2 people.
HAHA. Totally empty house. It actually made the night pretty fun because we all just fuckin' goofed off and had a good time without worrying about impressing anybody.
I'd love to play back there again, but I think we'll wait until school is back and in and the college down the road can fill the house. The people there said they'd love to have us back, so we'll likely definitely hit that up again.
Next weekend we're back at Steppin' Out in VA Beach. It's a Battle to see who gets to open for Darkest Hour at the Norva here in Norfolk, VA. Wish us luck.
