"Get your mack on! It's for the Veterans y'all!"
Today was the day to honor America's war veterans, and for me, especially those that risked or gave their lives on D-Day at Normandy.
No, it isn't veteran's day... It's "I actually asked a girl out!" day! You see, I have this stupid quirk where I will be attracted to someone and just never fucking do anything about it. Lately I have started to notice that if I don't, somebody else will!
The problem is, I am super shy when faced with the prospect of talking to an Alpha Class girl in person. I literally go from my confident and psuedo charming self to some sort of nail biting recluse.
I had to find a way to motivate myself to actually walk up to a girl I was interested in and simply strike up a conversation and ask her out. But what can I do to get past these fears?
On the beaches of Normandy, the frightened young men in their Higgins boats had no choice as to whether they would march forth and face their fears. The doors dropped and out they went. These people DIED, but did what they had to do, so I can certainly honor them by getting over this fear and actually talking to a lady right?
So yeah, today I sat outside her store and imagined all of these ghosts in the car with me, encouraging me, with their missing limbs and bullet ridden uniforms, telling me to just go for God's sake young man, GO!
Once I landed, the machine guns stopped, the skies cleared, and she smiled, she said yes...
Can I get a w00t! w00t! Now all I have to do is actually call her, haha... Veterans of foreign wars, a little help please?
