Time to Tip Off!
It's that time of year again, time for the city men's basketball league! My first game is tomorrow night and I have no idea how well I will do. We ran a warmup game last Wednesday and after I got the jitters out I played ok. I am in really bad shape after a summer of mostly video games and less basetball. I did come into summer with a late Spring league where I was on fire, forced into high minutes because at 32, I was still one of the youngest and at 6' the tallest guy on the team, sad. I did score over 20 points most games and hit at least one three pointer in all six games. W3rd!
Speaking of video games, if you combine the two, you get NBA LIVE 2004. I just started playing online and I am a decent 3-2 so far.
In yet more basketball news, the Kings season starts next Wednesday night (29th) up at Arco Arena! Me and my boys Eric, Ray and Brian will be there to see the Kings and rookie Labron James of the Cavaliers in his first game as a pro. I also do the first walkthrough on my new home that day, which is conveniently a mile away from Arco arena. Check pics for a shot of it when it was still being framed.
