Ahh Saturday!
I can't believe that it is May. Soon the summer willl be here and the time for fewer clothes and longer days. Although I will admit to being partial to big warm sweaters, I need to work on my tan. This is simply getting out of hand. I, of all people, should not glow in the dark and I feel like am moving too far in that direction.
That said, I had a great little flirtatious moment last night. On my usual Firday out with friends, we went to this bar we hadn't been to in quite awhile. The drinks are always stiff but the crowd was a bit too foo-foo for us. Well, we went anyway. Luckily, there was a birthday party going on and we got wisked into the action. Well, at some point, I noticed the cute bartender slinging the drinks and was amazed. She was just about my height, waify and had a great, short haircut. Thinking she got hit on all the time but still feeling the need to say something, I went up and just said "Ya' know I don't want to wierd you out or anything but I like your style. You've got great hair!" and proceeded to order my drink. To my surprise, she was like " You know, I don't get ever get that. Especially living in this town. Thanks!" Then she gave me my good, stiff drink for $2 and said something like "See, complimenting the bartender will get you places." I know where I am becoming a regular now.
On that note, do you have a summer drink? If there is ever time to drink fluffy shit from the blender, summer is it. My summer drink is a Mojito. Enjoy it with someone you love. What is your summer drink of choice?
