I've really been down the past week or so. I had a hellish work trip to Florida. I know, Florida sounds great, but there was no time to enjoy it. I was in a different part of the state every day with very little time of my own. I'm sure part of it is that I'm trying to quit smoking and part of it is that I did make time to stop and have dinner with my father. You have to understand that I didn't talk to the guy from age 16 to 42, then he showed up at my mom's funeral. Earlier today he sent me a picture of the two of them that he had come across. It is from 1958, shortly after they met in college, and it reminded me of how beautiful she was and how much I miss her.
