Being a time of perfect balance, the seeds are blessed so that they can bloom soon and the burdens and personal worries are set aside. In Christianity this era symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus. In Ostara, the person who resurrects is the Earth that leaves the cold behind and flourishes again with the energy of the Sun God and the young Goddess.

At the Wheel of the Year, Sabbat Ostara occurs during the Equinox of Primavaera, a moment of balance where life flourishes again with intensity. The plants that began to give their first and simple signs of life on the Sabbat Imbolc are resurfacing in all their splendor.
The Sun God is in his puberty period, full of energy and quite willing. The Goddess is in her Maiden phase, also full of energy and life. Ostara is the perfect time to sow our joy and love and to set goals and objectives.
This renewal energy is reflected in the growth of plants. It is also translated into the energy of animals that come out of hibernation and run back through the fields full of joy.

The Sabbat Ostara bonfires were lit high in the mountains, because it was believed that the light created by them would be able to make the land fertile and also that they would thus show respect for the Sun God.

The Goddess Eostre is venerated during Sabbat Ostara. Eostre is the Goddess of resurrection, rebirth and spring. As animals return to their outdoor activities in spring, Eostre is closely linked to this freedom and energy. In his honor, offerings of bread and cake were made, in addition to the decoration of eggs with bright colors and symbols related to the Goddess.

It is said that Eostre was so delighted with the decorated eggs that she asked a rabbit to deliver them from house to house so that everyone could share in this joy. The egg itself is a symbol of fertility, a carrier of life. Decorated eggs were left under the feet of the trees and sometimes hidden so that, whoever found them, guaranteed fertility, joy and success in their goals. The rabbit is also a very important symbol of this era. In addition to being one of Eostre's favorite animals, the rabbit takes about 28 days in its gestation until it gives birth, that is, it takes a complete lunar cycle.
