I heard a phrase today that rang a bell with me. It holds true in my life and it takes an event to make you stop and listen to the world around you. I am guilty of not stopping until I cannot go any further. As I was on the go this afternoon feeling tired I decided to listen to music and actually listen to the lyrics that are being sung. Not just enjoy the song but listen to what story was being told. Music is a direct result of events and tribulations in our life. It is said that when your are truly happy you enjoy the music but when you are feeling down or hurt you listen to the lyrics. I believe this 100%. The song that played used the phrase "Life is like a lemon drop, sometimes you have to suck the bitter to get to the sweet." As I think back to recent events and the past this phrase is correct on every level. You have to go through hell to get to the great. This is in relationships, jobs, finances, etc......So today I told myself everything that i have been going through is the bitter and life is going to get sweet!

Honestly There's not a very good story to go along with that one. I've always been a fan of traditional tattoos and the swallows have denoted time at sea traditionally. As a service member at the time and being from a military family it seemed a good fit. I had them done by my artist at the Bonn convention in 2002. It was his idea to make one Blue/angel and one red/devil.
