I am sitting here, at 3:20 am, about to leave to pick up my boyfriend from the train station (he's a cop...in Harlem...and works the night shift. It's truly fabulous for all involved), wondering when life begins to take on the shape of the constant visions I've had in my head since I was an idyllic child, or better yet, angst-ridden teenager...

To brief you on my most recent setbacks:

1. I've had two jobs in the past 6 months (doesn't look so good on a resume!)

2. I was laid-off from my last job the very same day I was planning on signing a lease for an apartment with my boyfriend (His name is Sean - so I don't have to continue referring to him as my boyfriend)

3. My wicked stepmonster (her atrocities are so deep rooted that I could not BEGIN to explain them now....not at this time of the morning anyway...but I will give you a taste of what a wonderful human being she is...my parents divorce is a direct result of her and my father's adultery - and she attempted, when I was about 15, to convince me that my mother has AIDS (an obvious fabrication) - she's insane, and a wench, to put it nicely) has made it QUITE clear for the past 2 and almost one half years that she absolutely does not like Sean and does not approve of our intent to marry.

And I guess those three things will have to do for now since I have to leave for the choo-choo -

I'm not entirely sad and pathetic! I'm saying FUCK IT ALL in spite of the above. I will prevail...it just may take some time..and a nice, hard punch in the face as far as the sasquatch is concerned.
