Usually, during the summer months (and the winter, fall and spring months), I try to soak up all the local concerts that I can. Growing up in the Midwest, we certainly did not have anything like that & because of that, when I moved to the East Coast three years ago, I try to see as many bands as I can.

This summer, however, work time > play time and I despise it! Luckily, I was able to go to Warped Tour earlier this week (although I felt super-old...fourteen-year-olds moshing while I am drinking a strawberry margarita). Aaaand, that sparked something, causing me to remember how much I love concerts; hearing new bands for the first time and singing along obnoxiously to the old bands, the sweat, the sunburns, the glory.

So, my (tentative) schedule for the summer/fall:
31 July: Honda Civic Tour - NewFound Glory, Paramore, Tegan & Sara (Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia MD)
25 Sept: Virgin Mobile Free Festival - various awesome artists (Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia MD)
14 Oct : Belle and Sebastian (DAR Consitution Hall, Washington DC)
26 Oct: Social Distortion (9:30 Club, Washington DC)

These are just the ones I already have tickets for. Anyone going to any of these? Or have any suggestions for the DC/MD/VA area?
