Got new plugs.... just 5/8ths...... an enormous stretch from 1/2..... at lest from the other stretches I've done....
Puny, but a big enough stretch to have caused me many problems....
I had lost my old plugs... and ears had been shrinking for at least a week.... prolly 2..... I got some old 00gauge plugs I had and wrapped them with tefflon tape, building them up and up for the stretch for the new plugs....
Pushing it through and pop! All the sudden the plug feels real real loose....
Basicly the ring of scar tissue on the inside of my piercing snapped....
Having not expected an open injury, I hadnt taken the steril precausions that I should have....
bad infection.... cleaning twice a day.... blood and puss....
pain.... swabbing out the hole and reinserting the jewlery....
As if I hadnt already been foolish enough... last saturday, I went sparing.... I protected my throbbing ears pretty well.... but one poorly timed slip from a cross left my ear as a wideopen target, which my training partener quickly exploited....
I'm used to boxing nose bleeds... but boxing earbleeds are new to me.....
new plugs are organics too.... not good jewlery to have against an open wound.... I think my blood is actually disolving the outside of the waterbuffalo horn.
Been a long time since I've had an infected piercing... I forgot how fucking unpleasent it can be....
I'm trying to forgive the wound.... trying to forgive the pain.... telling myself the infection has already healed....
Getting better.... and better is better than worse.... so I'm sure I'll be feeling well and be ready to hurt myself in a whole new and horrible way.....

I know you're a grown man...but maybe that's why I'm mothering you, most guys don't go to the doctor too willingly (according to the latest issue of Psych Today).
