I think I'm going to volunteer to go to Iraq this week. We just found out one of the guys in my shop has to go in september, but he already wants to get out of the military and he has a family, so if i volunteer to take his spot I'll be helping him out and it'll be good for me too. I'd get an extra 250$ a month for hazardous duty pay plus my regular pay would be tax free and i could put all my stuff into storage so i wouldnt have to pay rent, also i havent deployed yet(except to Diego Garcia which is more like a vacation) and I've been in almost 7 years, so i figure its time to go.
