Last night I joined the world in the most satisfying collective sigh of relief ever.
The middle aged white people didn't screw it up for the rest of us. Go middle aged white people. You all get a cookie now.
Watching the McCain supporters have a huge meltdown on cafe mom was funny though. That site is full of right wingers who think that the world is only 4,000 years old and that gays have evil ooze in their veins instead of blood. Idiots.
I am upset that Prop 8 passed in California though. What the fuck America? I once had a conversation with my step father about gays being able to marry. He was against it because he said that gays and lesbians being able to marry would cheapen his marriage. I don't understand this sort of thought process. Gays marrying doesn't cheapen marriage. Straight people who have 'starter marriages' do. People like Britney Spears who get married in Vegas on a whim then have it annulled a day later do. Gender and biological sex are such trivial things as compared to love. Love is paramount to all and if a great love exists between two people with the same genitalia then they should be able to express their affection within the sanctity of marriage just like everyone else can. I mean, what the fuck? News flash: Separate but equal is not equal. Isn't it violating a persons constitutional rights to not let them marry merely because they prefer to be with someone of their own sex? Someone should get Gloria Allred on this shit. Seriously.
Maybe I am just extra sensitive to the issue because I am bisexual.
It will happen. Gays and lesbians will be able to marry with just as little fan fare as straight people. It will just take the old folks dying off and taking their intolerant opinions with them. I know that's a harsh thing to say. I don't like to imagine a world without my step father, but I think that's the truth. I don't think their opinions on things can be changed.
I miss being in Jersey, but I am glad to be home in my own little nest here. Now I can be as messy as I want to be, within reason. The night before I left Zoomusikgrl and I really bonded over disco fries and drinks at a bar that resembled Moe's Tavern. She is good people. I love her. Afterward I went to a fetish club with Silicon. It was a wonderful and memorable last night in Jersey. Le sigh le sigh.
Wolfgang is obsessed with the dog crate. Frida looks really confused. Lol.

I haven't had a mohawk since high school. I think I've gotten too used to long hair to ever go back! I'm already missing my long hair from a couple of months ago. I've been taking vitamins to make my hair grow faster, and they're working really well, but it's gonna take forever to get it all back.
