I have decided after a spur of the moment idea that I am going to be Zelda Fitzgerald for Halloween. Well, after the wedding and at a party on the 25th anyway. I have currently been obsessed with her. I am reading a book about flappers in which her and Scott are prominently featured. I totally could have been her in a past life. Please past lives let some of that literary goodness come my way!! It would explain a lot, especially my affinity for Fitzgerald's work. I don't have the last line from "The Great Gatsby" tattooed on me for nothing. I found out today that that line is actually engraved into both Zelda's and Scott's monument in Maryland.

I got a dress today at the thrift store that, with a little altering, will be a pretty good twenties style dress. I *heart* the thrift store. I always meet interesting characters in there too. Today I met a dude who also likes Sonic Youth (I was wearing my sonic nurse shirt I got at one of their shows a few years ago). He was quite the character and his lady friend had neat tattoos.

In less than a week I will be hopping on a jet plane and leaving for New Jersey!! It's going to be so wonderful to see my friends and family and to just be in my home state. I am also hoping to really patch things up with my dad. As most of you know, we have had a tempestuous relationship throughout the years, and that's putting it lightly. I'm a different person now though and really want things to work out.

I'm still raising money for my trip up there!! I promise I will stop whoring myself out like this after my trip is said and done with!! I know it gets annoying when everything on a chicks journal is about commenting on her MR set and buying her prints, so I cross my heart swear to die stick a needle in my eye promise that I will stop after my trip!
