I had to tell one of my clients that a family member of his passed away today. I broke the rules and gave the kid a hug, and as I was doing so I wondered if I needed to report myself to the abuse hotline. If charged I plan on claiming disability; my condition as a human being forced me into the offendsive action.

That singer/songwriter is Leah Carlson and unfortunately there are no upcoming gigs. Probably because I can't get my shit together and finish her web site. If I had finished it when I said I would, I'm sure the promoters would be banging down her door. Evidently I suck. (she didn't say this, I did, we're great friends.)

Humanity is good. I'd have done the same thing in your situation.
