My new medication seems to be helping to stabilize my moods, which is good. So far there doesn't seem to be any harsh side effects, aside from a touch of drowsiness the first couple days I take it. I'm on Geodon so that's a new one for me.
I'm still sad, that's natural, but the bone crushing depression that was trampling me seems to have lifted somewhat. I need to get back on track with my schooling though. I've fallen pretty far behind on a couple of my classes and I have got to catch up if I'm going to finish out the semester. A couple of my classes are easy passers, from my standpoint but some of them are kicking my butt. My young adult literature course is over the top for expectations and I'm falling behind because, frankly, I just don't have the free time that a lot of my classmates do. I'm 30 and raising two kids at home, don't have as much free time to read 3 novels every week, post 10 times on the website, read extra books to talk about in Lit Circle and then read 3 chapters a week to discuss. That's just the ONE class' requirements. I don't want to drop it because I need to do Young Adult to get my education degree, but come ON that's a fucking nuts amount of work, even for graduate school.
At some point I'm going to have to figure out how to go back to work too and that one has REALLY got me stumped. I might need to look into getting work on campus but then I lose out on financial aid because they factor in my pay. Catch 22. But I'm struggling to get back on track. Wish me luck eh?
At least I've had a couple of people flirt with me on another site I go to...that's a little good for my ego. Not really looking for "relationship" right now, but friendship and maybe some physical comforting wouldn't be turned down at this point.
