okay, i know that noone ever reads my journal cuz i'm just a big dork, but i've gotta get this out somewhere and i'm afraid of the rerpecussions of starting a new thread on the boards cuz i'm sure there was something out there before and i'm just not finding it.
so anyway, i'm home alone for the night with nothing to do so i decided to do girly shit. like i played with my hair for a while and painted my toenails. I finally got up the courage to rent and watch White Oleander, and i've got mixed emotions about it. First of all I'm pissed that they even tried to make that book into a film but on the other hand, it's kinda cool cuz i'm sure that a lot of people saw the movie first and then read the book.
I'm feeling kinda dumb cuz i always get too personal with books. and when somthing like this happens to a book i REALLY love, it just infuriates me. cuz there's no way in hell a movie could ever come close to showing the greatness of that story. but now i feel kinda dumb for being pissed about it. when i first saw the trailer on TV i was LIVID. i went around randing - Renee Zelweiger can NOT play Clair!! It's just wrong!
but now that i've seen the movie, i'm not so mad. they did a good job. granted i've read that book a thousand times and there are parts of it that are big for me but were completely skipped over in the move, but for the most part i thought it was allright. what does everyone else think?
