one of the ladies my mom works with had the cutest little townhouse for rent. last week i was out to dinner with all the ladies who used to work at the jewelery store and she mentioned that she'd be happy to show it to me any time. so yesterday we went over and absolutely fell in love with it. i walked in and said "yes. i'll take it." and we signed the lease.
i put in my notice to vacate my apartment today. i've got till the end of the month. SHIT. that's only like 2 and a half weeks!!! I need some serious boxes.
the rent is gonna be $200 more than i'm paying now, but it's also like 3 times the space. 2-stories. 2 bedrooms. 2 and a half baths. adorable kitchen. dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer. garage. fenced in back patio - so now i can tan topless
- and the whole thing is so damn cute. she said she doesn't care if i paint. i can do whatever decorating i like. i even got to go help pick out new carpet and linoleum today. it's all so damn exciting!

rule in 8th grade in Thailand, right around the time I discoverd
linguistics. (Research suggests bilingual children are better at math.)
I guess I associate slide rules with the mystique of Asia,, my
childhoood, or they're just cool.. Perform advanced math without
electricity. There are several societies dedicated to collecting
them and spreading the word of slide rule usage....
I play chess and was a bass drummer in a bagpipe band, too.
