okay, so we kinda suck at camping, lol. we were only gone for a day. It was fun though. We left Wednesday afternoon drove up and found a spot, set up camp and all that stuff. built a fire. By the time we started thinking about cooking some hotdogs for dinner we realized that we forgot to bring the hot dog buns, so I drove back down into the nearest town to get those and more bug spray. The mosquitos were a lot worse than we expected. So we finally had dinner and marshmallows and sat around the fire till it was dark and we were sleepy. Then the air mattress wouldn't cooperate with us. It had a slow leak so that it would get soft and we'd roll together and be uncomfortable then end up pretty much on the ground. At least we had some good sex, cuz we didn't get any sleep. Spent the night cold and uncomfortable. When the sun came up we got up and built up the fire to get warm and realized that we'd forgotten to bring a pot so we could boil water and make the sandwich bag omlettes we'd planned for breakfast. I'm so domestically challenged, I forgot to bring any sort of cooking aparatus at all. We had a fire and a cook stove, but nothing to cook with, so i fashioned some egg-cookers by cutting the tops off of beer cans and attaching them to our hot dog sticks and we managed to cook eggs over the fire that turned out pretty good. After that we kinda sat around for a while getting warm and playing with our new friend chipmunk. We fed him crunch and munch. He sat on my foot and ate out of our hands. he was soooo cute. once I didn't see him by my foot and i moved too fast and scared him. He ran off a little ways and then yelled at me, but I gave him some more food and we were friends again.
Then we just packed up camp and headed home. Since we weren't gonna be able to sleep there another night and we were already tired and achy from the first night of trying to sleep. So we planned for it to be a longer trip, but it was fun anyway. It was a good trial-run and we'll do better next time.
