So last night was Metal Bowling at a very fine establishment, which name shall not be announced, for I do not wish to cause problems. I had a blast! A lot of us met up because a friend, Spud, is leaving to go on tour tomorrow. Spud does sound for bands, and he's currently about to do sound for a local pop-punk band (I forget the name, for pop punk is not even remotely close to my style). So we all get together and the majority of people are smashed, except for me since I'm underage. Here's why i dont' want to name the place: I'm 19 and was not legally supposed to be there, but since the significant other has been working there for about six years, strings were cut for yours truly. And besideds, no one is going to "sell me out" because I get along with them all. One person in particular, Buck (and yes, that is his God-given-name, sadly enough) was smashed. Buck is a specfuckingtacular bowler, but at one point he started bowling with two balls. at once. Hella funny. Once he sent the second ball down too late and the pins were already being taken up, so all of a sudden the ball he rolled (it was a gutter ball, by the way) came shooting up the gutter back towards us. No one could stop laughing. Crazy fucking man. Ryan (significant other) was over hanging out with some friends at the bar, so I ended up jokingly flirting with a few of his friends, including Buck. I think a few people thought i was genuinely serious, but it was all in good fun. I got tons of compliments on my hair (it's really short, and they all know me with long hair) and my new "girly" personality. If only they knew. As soon as some DEATH or Deicide came on, the "girlishness" came the fuck off. Rocking out to some Deicide is tits. Oh! I met two more of Ryan's friends, who are big metalheads and fascinating guys. I was sitting at the bar with ryan and them and suddenly ryan walked off, but I was enjoying myself so i stayed to talk (which is really hard for me to do, since i'm awkward). At one point the one looks at me and says "are you even old enough to be here?"
Me: "(giggles) no, but you won't tell will you?" I flash this nasty little grin and he starts laughing.
Him: "yeah, i bet your daddy's up wondering where his little girl is."
Me: "nah- he knows i can take care of myself"
Him: ponders what i just said looking confused.
Me: "wait!! how old do you think i am?"
Him: Looks at me- "fifteen maybe sixteen (looks down a little further and sees the 40Ds), well, no older than seventeen that's for sure"
Me: (i'm stricken so i look to the other black metal guy for help) "you think this too?"
Black metal guy: nods head.
Fucking hell! I'm 19 people, not 15! I have now found out it's mainly the voice, but i can't help that i sound like a twelve year old chipmunk. Oh well. T'was fun and Ryan got me my Christmas gift (although late) - Lords of Chaos- about the Black Metal Scene. FINALLY I OWN IT! ah hah!
