It seems I have been given a role at work that I absolutely despise. It is the same role I had at a previous company and I left there because of it. It seems that I have been give the hunterkiller job again. It resembles the role of headhunter in most companies but in a much more vicious manner. With the headhunter role you get the "I'm sorry we are going to have to let you go." Sweet, polite and cold. The hunter killer is left to inquire, observe, and strike. This ends with someone walking up to the persons desk and "your fired" and they are escorted immediately off the premises. I hate this.
I have a talent that you would think would be nice to have. I am very observant. Detail oriented and very concise with conclusions. If I could draw more than a straight line, I would be amazing artist but I cannot draw. N, spelling is not necessarily part of it. lol
At my previous job, as far as the loss prevention group, I was the person sent into the retail stores/warehouse to find out how things were disappearing from the stores. Not small things, it was with a furniture company. Things like TVs, sofas, etc... Yes, it actually is possible for them to be taken without anyone "noticing". For the company bottom line, I was very efficient. For my mental stature it was less than torture. The final straw with that joib was when I did my job with the utmost clarity and it cost a friend of mine, their job. Not because they were part of the theft but because they couldn't figure it out. In 7 years my talents eliminated nearly 50 positions.
Today, I was forced to do the same thing again, and will more than likely will cost a friend his job because he basically commited a version of fraud. That is how the company views it.
I don't want to do this again. Wrong place, wrong time and exploited. It shouldn't be painful to do your job well. Hell, I have been figuring out network incidents, before the engineers, and I am hundreds of miles away from it.
I don't claim to be smarter than anyone else or better than anyone else. I can't help I pay attention and can come to an answer quicker than some others, that don't pay attention to the small details.
Just really burnt now.
