I recommend The Pornography of Meat by Carol J. Adams. It's a great book on the feminization of animals, and the animalization of women. She lectured at UCLA last week, it was great. Go veggie! And go ecofeminism!

I'm still struggling with a feminist critique of Suicide Girls. Of course, there are arguments on both side and there's no single uniform feminist position...To be sure, there's a less objectification going on here than other media, more empowerment, more community, and less traditional gender roles. (Yippee!) At the same time, there are beautiful naked women. (Another yippee!) I haven't figured it out yet, but I hope to come to some conclusion. In the mean time, I will remain skeptical, and continue my enjoyable research.

on a personal note:
When you can tell that she's starting to forget about you... Now even the prospect of somebody new is not exciting. Sometimes I just want to go back in the womb, or hibernate for a while. I always thought it'd be cool to be on one of those deep space voyages where you have to be frozen or sedated to make the journey. I would love to sleep for months, floating over and under stars.
