So, it's been a while since I last came to SG. I had some password issues the last time my membership needed to be renewed and I didn't want to create a new profile. But then , just the other day, I noticed a charge from SG services in my bank statement, so I figured I'd give it another shot. Sure enough, I'm back on the site.
Some things that have happened since my last visit-
I had a heart attack at age 29. That was some scary shit. Woke up at 4 in the morning and felt like I was drowning. Rode out Hurricane Sandy (? I think that was the one... It was 2011) and all of the resulting power outages in the comfort of a hospital bed.
Got married. It was a nice low-key wedding with only 12 guests, civil ceremony at the courthouse. Didn't break the bank, which is good, because we were buying a house not long after. Yay priorities!
Had a baby. Her name is Ava. She's beautiful, and smart and funny. I'm a stay at home dad (because of my disabilities), so I get to spend every hour of every day with her.
We bought that house that we were saving for, and we are currently working on the back yard... Turning it into a great place for the kids to grow and play.
