This weeks blog home work by @charmaine is "What is your favorite fictional character?"
This one was a tie for me, Sweeney todd or I am jack? But in the long run I am Jack ( Ed norton in the movie) would win. The reason for this is that he is the epitome of crazy no matter what book or movie that you read/watch. I am Jack is a DID crazy ass dude. He makes up Tyler Derdon as an alternate personality (sorry for the spoiler but if you havent seen this movie or read the book by this point in your life i feel so bad for you) of the person he wanted to be. I am jack is an insomniac, and a coffee addict who just went off the deep end.
He always was saying "I am Jack's blank blank" .
This was used to emphasize a statement with Pop culture.
This peeked my interest.Such as:
I Am Jack's Medulla Oblongata
I Am Jill's Nipple (female version of "I am Jack")
I Am Jack's Colon
I am Jack's Raging Bile Duct.
In which case he follows up one of these (I cant remember which one) with: Put a gun to my head and paint the walls with my brains.
That is my favorite line, and not just because it reminds me of bring me the horizon,although that is pretty cool to me.
But, its just so twisted. And im a sucker for twisted things obviously.
I'm a horror noob and serial killers facinate me.
As I said earlier he created an alternate personality because of what i believe his extreme insomnia and emptyness. This is where the title of the book/movie comes in "Fight club" they start a fight club. This gives him a sense of wholeness. Theres a girl involved ofcourse. In my own belief i think that she is an alternate personality as well but who knows?
Sorry for the super long post but I am Jack is so facinating to me and he is by far my favorite.
There is a lot more to it than this also. Just a little info.
